Biography

Solomon Bekele is an Assistant Computer Scientist in the Performance Engineering team at the Argonne Leadership Computing Facility (ALCF). His research focuses on performance and power optimization of heterogeneous HPC and AI systems, with an emphasis on performance-energy trade-off modeling, system-level monitoring, and performance-per-watt analysis.
 
He received his Ph.D. in Computer Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi, where his doctoral research centered on modeling and optimizing performance-energy trade-offs in high-performance and embedded systems, with particular attention to resource contention in chip multiprocessors.
 
His research interests include:
