Venkatram Vishwanath

Venkatram Vishwanath is a Computer Scientist and the AI Lead at the Argonne Leadership Computing Facility (ALCF) at Argonne National Laboratory. His work focuses on advancing the integration of artificial intelligence and high-performance computing to address problems of national significance. His research spans the development of scalable algorithms for modeling and optimizing complex systems across scientific and engineering domains, as well as the design of next-generation computing architectures—including those that go beyond traditional von Neumann models—to support the evolving needs of science. He is a recipient of the 2022 ACM Gordon Bell Prize and multiple best paper awards.
