Viktor Nikitin

Biography
Viktor Nikitin received his B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in Information Technologies in 2011 and 2013, respectively, both from Novosibirsk State University, Russia; and his Ph.D. in Mathematics in 2016 from Lund University, Sweden. Before joining Argonne in 2020 he was a postdoctoral researcher at the MAX IV Laboratory in Lund, Sweden.
Main research interests
- inverse problems in tomography and ptychography
- high-performance computing (HPC) with multi-GPU systems
- conducting complex dynamic X-ray experiments
Primary responsibilities at Argonne National Laboratory
- operation of the micro and nano tomography instruments at beamlines 2-BM and 32-ID of the Advanced Photon Source
- scientific software development for control systems, image analysis, and tomographic reconstruction
