Biography
Dr. William Dean-Kersten, a chemical engineer and electrochemist, conducts research with a primary focus on developing applied separations in the realm of nuclear materials. He possesses a range of experimental expertise, encompassing additive manufacturing, electrochemistry, spectroscopy, and high-throughput experimental testing. This expertise is actively applied in separations with significant applications in the nuclear fuel cycle and medical radioisotope production.
Dr. Dean-Kersten earned his Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from Case Western Reserve University, he holds undergraduate degrees in Chemical Engineering (B.Ch.E) and a Chemistry (B.S.) from the University of Minnesota. Currently, he serves as a postdoctoral researcher in the Radiochemistry group at Argonne.
