Biography
Dr. Scott Richards joined Argonne National Laboratory in 2019 and now serves as a Principal Nuclear Engineer in the Reactor and Fuel Cycle Analysis group within the Nuclear Science and Engineering Division. His research contributes to the development and deployment of advanced nuclear technologies through modeling and design of nuclear reactors, advanced fuel cycles, nuclear supply chains, and advanced reactor nuclear safeguards systems. Dr. Richards is currently the lead developer of the DYMOND (Dynamic Model of Nuclear Development) nuclear fuel cycle simulation code and leads its use for systems, techno-economic, and safeguards analysis as both a modeler and principal investigator.
