Biography
Stephen Hudson is a software engineer at Argonne National Laboratory. His work centers on workflow systems for large-scale scientific computing, spanning simulation, optimization, and emerging AI-driven approaches. He is a core developer of libEnsemble, a Python library for running dynamic ensembles of calculations.
Stephen is a member of the American Science Cloud AI-Services (At-scale) team, under the Genesis Mission, helping to provision AI software stacks for agentic workflows and a senior member of the Collaboration for Advanced Modeling of Particle Accelerators (CAMPA) and the Frontiers in Leadership Gyrokinetic Simulation SciDAC projects. Stephen also serves as the Director of Agentic Systems for the Workflows Community Initiative.
Previously, he has worked extensively in parallel programming and performance optimization across CPU, GPU, and experimental architectures.
