Biography
Stephen Hudson is a software engineer at Argonne National Laboratory. His work centers on workflow systems for large-scale scientific computing, spanning simulation, optimization, and emerging AI-driven approaches. He is a core developer of libEnsemble, a Python library for running dynamic ensembles of calculations. He is a senior member of the Collaboration for Advanced Modeling of Particle Accelerators (CAMPA) and the Frontiers in Leadership Gyrokinetic Simulation SciDAC projects.
Most recently, he has joined the American Science Cloud At-scale services team, under the Genesis Mission, helping to developing the provision of AI software stacks for agentic workflows.
Prevously, he has worked extensively in parallel programming and performance optimization across CPU, GPU, and experimental architectures.
