Biography
Dr. Bethany Dean-Kersten is a chemical engineer and her research expertise lies in the intersection between electrochemistry and radiochemistry. She actively works in research related to electrochemical separations of nuclear material to advance the nuclear fuel cycle. She possesses experimental skills in the areas of electrochemistry and molten salt chemistry, and is a passionate advocate for nuclear energy.
Dr. Dean-Kersten earned her Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from Case Western Reserve University and she holds an undergraduate degree in Chemical Engineering (BS) from the University of Idaho. Currently, she serves as a chemical engineer in the Pyroprocess Engineering group at Argonne.
