DOE Energy Forecast of Opportunities

To assist in financial planning, the DOE’s Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization publishes upcoming procurement projections online. This website provides efficient and effective access to the DOE’s forecasted requirements over $150,000.

These procurement projections are based on the best information available from DOE’s contributing headquarters, field, laboratory and prime contractor offices. These projects and the requirements that drive them are subject to revision or cancellation, depending on changing program priorities, needs and funding. Final decisions on any aspect of the procurement action will not be made until each requirement has been initiated.

System for Award Management

The System for Award Management (SAM) is an official website of the U.S. Government. There is no cost to use SAM. Contractors must have an active registration to do business with the Federal Government. Contractors can use the SAM website to:

  • Register to do business with the U.S. government
  • Update or renew entity registration
  • Check status of an entity registration
  • Search for entity registration and exclusion records

Online Representations and Certifications Application

The Online Representations and Certifications Application (ORCA) is an e-government initiative designed by the Integrated Acquisition Environment to replace the paper-based Representations and Certifications process. If you do not have access to the Internet or feel you need extra Internet help, you may contact the Procurement Technical Assistance Center closest to you.

Safety Requirements

Effective Feb. 9, 2007, U.S. Code 10 CFR 851, Worker Safety and Health Program, requires DOE, its contractors, and their subcontractors to have a Worker Safety and Health Program that reduces or prevents occupational injuries, illnesses, and accidental losses by providing DOE contractors and their workers with safe and healthful workplaces at DOE sites. For more information concerning this regulation, please see DOE’s Worker Safety and Health Program online.
