Winter Road Closings

Under the Seasonal Closure Plan for roads and parking lots, several areas will be closed for the entire winter season. All three of the laboratory’s entrance gates will remain open according to their normal operating schedules during the winter season.

Areas that will remain closed during the entire winter season are identified in the map and list below:
  1. 800 Area
  2. Tech Road
  3. Railroad Drive — southern access
  4. Bluff Road — east of Railroad
  5. Freund Road — Railroad to 617
  6. Access Drive — 614 to Bluff Road
  7. Bluff Road  — Southwood to 600 Area
  8. 350 Bypass Road
  9. Watertower Road
  10. Access Drive — Meridian to 200 lot
  11. Kearney Road parking lot
  12. Kearney Road — north extension
  13. Access Drive — Rock to Bluff (362 lot)
  14. Access Drive — Southwood to 375 (solar panels)
  15. Old Bluff Road  — east of 366

Please obey all signage. Indication of tire tracks does not mean that a road or parking lot is open and accessible. Security, emergency or utility vehicles may bypass the barricades as necessary, but all others are prohibited from doing so. Driving around barricades may result in a Traffic Safety Violation ticket and/or disciplinary action. Barricades will be removed at the end of the winter season when these roads and parking lots are open to traffic.
