Introduce a Generation to Engineering Day (IGED)

Come join Argonne National Laboratory in exploring the world of Engineering and the endless possibilities offered through a career in this exciting field.

Women in Science and Technology, in conjunction with Argonne Education, presents “Introduce a Generation to Engineering Day” (IGED). This day gives young students a unique opportunity to discover Engineering careers alongside world-class scientists and engineers.

Introduce a Generation to Engineering Day

Registration is open for this year’s Introduce a Generation to Engineering Day (IGED). IGED will take place at Argonne National Laboratory on February 26, 2026. Registration closes on January 23, 2026.

Registration Requirements

All applicants must be in eighth grade and need to complete the online application.
Space for the event is limited and participants will be selected by a lottery system.
All applicants will be notified if their application status via email.
